Inventory Financing
As product is created it exists in various stages of completion:
- Raw material,
- Work in progress,
- Finished Goods.
Raw Material, Work In Progress, and Finished Goods make up a company’s Inventory and are an Asset of the company, appearing on their balance sheet. The “raw material” means material, parts, or other goods that the company receives from a supplier which the company will use to create its product, but material which the company has not done any work to or on. The “work in progress” is material which the company has done work to or on, but has not completed the process which will produce its final product. The “finished goods” are the completed company product which no further work is to be done but has not shipped or been paid for by a customer.
Through Blue Water these Inventory Assets can be used as collateral for a business loan or line of credit.
